Hei. I make things movelike they have weight, and stop like they mean it.

●

I’m a motion and 3D designer in Oslo. For nine years I’ve made product films, idents and title sequences for brands that want their things to feel real before anyone has held them.

I model, light, animate and comp everything myself, which means the person you brief is the person who presses render.

Breakdown · the first frame of this site

One frame, five passes

  1. 01Blockout
Primitives and a camera. Is the composition working before anything is pretty?
  2. 02Clay
Every surface the same grey. Light and form have to carry the shot on their own.
  3. 03Light
A 10° afternoon sun through a mullioned window, plus one soft fill from camera left.
  4. 04Colour
Sage plaster, bone terrazzo, one tomato ball. Three colours, one accent.
  5. 05Comp
The name painted on the wall, film grain and a vignette. Then it moves.

Timing is the work.
The rest is taste.

Things I make

Four kinds of brief
01

Idents & titles
Channel idents, station graphics, conference openers and title sequences, with a system that other designers can extend.
3 idents, end board, toolkit file, motion guidelines
Typical length5–20 s
03
3D illustration
Stills for campaigns, packaging and editorial covers, built as real scenes so a still can become a film later.
4–10 key visuals, crops for every placement
Typical lengthStills
04

Process

From brief to final frame

A typical 30-second film takes five weeks. You see something moving by the end of week one, and nothing surprises you in week five.
