The story
Radio One launch film
The brief
Fjell Audio had one product, no footage and a launch date eleven weeks away. The radio existed as a CAD file and two hand-finished prototypes that couldn’t leave the workshop. They needed a film that made a small aluminium box feel warm, heavy and worth 3,900 kroner.
What I made
I rebuilt the radio from the CAD file, then spent a week on the materials alone: brushed aluminium with the grain running the right way, felt that catches light at the edges, and a tomato-red dial with a soft-touch coat. Every shot uses the same late-afternoon sun through a window, so the whole film feels like one day in one room.
The animation is small on purpose. The dial turns, the handle settles, the felt breathes when music plays. Nothing flies, nothing explodes. The product does three things in 45 seconds and each one lands.
Delivery
A 45-second hero film, six cutdowns from 6 to 15 seconds, twelve stills for the web shop and packaging, and a looping idle shot for the product page. Everything was delivered from one Blender file, so the team can re-render any angle when the second colour ships.
